On December 1 and 2, 2025, Sport.Marke.Medien will take place for the second time in a row at Messehalle München. The conference covers the entire spectrum of sport and all perspectives of the sports business. This year we are participating as a forum partner for SWIM.BIKE.RUN. The forum is all about the question of how organizers can provide targeted and transparent information and efficiently coordinate and digitally manage the communication of complex processes at sporting events.
Marco Scheer, Project Manager at placeit, will show how challenges can be solved efficiently and practically with map-based communication components. In addition, Marlon Wörndl from the cult event Allgäu Triathlon will provide an interesting insight behind the scenes. We look forward to exciting discussions and interesting presentations.
On November 3-4, the ESB - Network invites you to the largest Sports Business Congress in Switzerland: the Sport.Forum.Switzerland. On November 3 and 4, the current topics and challenges of the sports world will be discussed at the KKL in Lucerne. In our forum "Major Events - Logistics. Security. Gamification", Petra Cosentino (Head of Marketing Alpbachtal Tourismus) will show how the vacation region uses placeit's gamification approach to inspire guests with digital games and QR experiences and how gamification can contribute to greater guest loyalty. In the second part of the forum, Patrick Kiener (Marketing & Communication, BIKE REVOLUTION) will talk about how to plan complex major events efficiently and what challenges and solutions there are in route and logistics planning.
On the second day, there will be a premiere at the PITCH STAGE: For the first time, we will be presenting how artificial intelligence from placeit is revolutionizing event planning - from efficient organization to the early detection and avoidance of risks.
The Sparkassen Münsterland Giro starts on October 3, 2025 and will go down as a record edition in the 19-year history of the race. Never before has the field of participants in the professional race been as high-caliber as this year. The race starts for the first time in Stromberg and leads over 191 kilometers to Münster Castle. The Live Tracker from placeit will be used to track the field of participants safely and reliably. In addition to the professional race, there will be three amateur races over various distances.
On October 3rd, Münster will be transformed into a stronghold of cycling and we hope for a smooth course and exciting races!
The fourth Brand Festival is taking place today at the Merkur-Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf. The focus is on the interplay between KI and brand. Will it turn out to be love at first sight or fate in order to survive as a brand in the future?
To answer this question, the brand festival is aimed at CMOs, brand decision-makers, agencies and media in the brand environment. Four stages will feature presentations and discussions on the topic. We wish you a smooth event, exciting discussions and interesting presentations!
On 21.08. the time has finally come! The Deutschland Tour stops in the city of Herford! Herford is the finish of stage 1 and the start of stage 2 the following day. The city is a host city on the Tour of Germany for the first time. Herford has a charming city center, modern architecture and a real feel-good atmosphere.
In order to provide residents, visitors and other traffic participants with an overview of the road closures and traffic disruptions, the city of Herford is using the communication component of placeit. On the interactive map, all information on the restricted areas can be called up quickly, easily and clearly. We are happy to support the team with our component!

The Tour of Germany, the only stage race for the men's elite in Germany, starts on 20.08.25. From August 20 - 24, it will take the riders through the middle of the country, from the Ruhr metropolis Essen to the heart of Saxony-Anhalt to Magdeburg. Over a total of 741 kilometers, 108 riders will fight for victory.
The live trackers from placeit will be used to track the field and follow the races up close! In addition to the elite races, there will be many side events in the stage towns. Come along and cheer on the riders!
For the first time in its history, the 43rd Allgäu Triathlon 2025 will host the 1st Triathlon Bundesliga. Already on Friday, August 15th, the elite of the German women's and men's triathlon will start in Immenstadt on the probably hardest course in this year's race calendar and fight for valuable points in the league standings.
And on Sunday, as usual, the cult triathlon follows in the Sprint, Olymp & Classic classes. The communication component of placeit will once again guarantee frictionless, comprehensive and up-to-date participant communication.
Musical entertainment, shopping opportunities and numerous food stands will be provided. With around 3500 participants and over 30,000 spectators, the triathlon is the biggest summer sports event in the Allgäu.

The ADAC Cyclassics 2025 will once again bring together the world's best sprinters in 23 teams on August 17. With Buxtehude as the new starting point and a revised route, the race will cover 207 kilometers through the Hamburg metropolitan region to the finish on Mönckebergstraße. Even before the race, over 11,000 amateur athletes rolled through Hamburg and experienced a real World Tour feeling.

The Frankfurt City Triathlon takes place on Sunday, August 3rd. Here 2500 triathletes will get their money's worth! In addition to the race, there is a Triathlon Expo and a Street Food Festival to explore.
